Question 1 of 2.

Select the quote that resonates with you the most.

1. I believe that safety rules aren’t necessary if people pay attention and do their jobs properly. Wearing personal protection/ safety equipment just slows you down, and is usually just too uncomfortable to wear.
2. I do believe in safe working practice in a perfect world, but you’ve got to cut corners to get things done, and the bosses only dish out safety gear to cover their backsides in case is an accident.
3. I believe that safety must come first personally. I would never work without following the safe procdedures I’ve been trained in, but it’s a free country and when my workmates cut corners, that’s up to them.
4. In my opinion there is no such thing as an “accident” at work. Accidents only happen when people ignore the safe working methods we are taught by our employer, and if anyone I see ignores safety I don’t mind telling on them.
Question 2 of 2.

Select the quote that resonates with you the most.

1. This Health and Safety culture has gone way too far. I despise all the form filling and tick-boxing I have to do. It’s a complete waste of time! I just tick any box I see. It’s quicker that way.
2. Health and Safety culture is here to stay. There’s no escaping it. I try to do it right, but sometimes you just can’t get the job done without cutting a few corners. When that happens its best not to rock the boat, so I don’t object…
3. Complying with safety rules, when based upon proper risk assessments has been shown to reduce accidents. In the end it’s cheaper to avoid people getting hurt, so I always do my best to follow the safety rules.
4. The Health and Safety philosophy nowadays, with the Health and Safety Acts in europe and elsewhere requiring us all to take care not only of ourselves, but also workmates, and even the public when we might harm them, is a major achievement of our society. I don’t care how much time I have to spend filling in forms. I’m proud when even one accident is prevented.
