CIWM NGG UK National Event – No Time To Waste – Highly recommended

It is time to book for this years Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM) NGG National Event with the particularly pertinent theme of No Time to Waste – given the recent publication of the latest worrying UNFCCC Climate Change report – and, is highly recommended.NGG stands for the New Generation Group, who organise this event and others through the year and these events are always especially professionally stimulating.

They are also normally very refreshingly non-corporate events. All those attending will be giving up their Saturday to attend, and many younger members will be paying their own costs, and will want their money’s worth, so the resulting high degree of participation adds to the occasion.

This year’s national event will take place on Friday 23rd March to Saturday 24th March at Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds. For further details and on-line booking form click here http://www.ciwm.co.uk/pm/15 or contact andy.barker@ciwm.co.uk.

This conference will be the eighth organised by the CIWM’s New Generation Groups and is
aimed at young waste managers, those who are new to the wastes industry or those looking to
develop a career in wastes management. The programme has been designed to:

  • Enhance knowledge of the latest developments in the industry
  • Provide advice on career development
  • To allow members and non-members to find out more about the CIWM

The conference also offers the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with others that are
new to the industry, in a relaxed and friendly environment. You will be encouraged to join the Institution although this is not essential. If you need a sponsor to join and don’t yet know any other members, you can contact the Waster (who is a member) by clicking on the Contact link on the top right of the Wasters blog page. Don’t miss this event!
